Evening Express February 1940

February continued the same theme as previous months , documenting shipping losses , the return of local men from H.M.S. Exeter , and a report of the first loss in France of a St Helens man .

Private Joseph Patrick Howe 3651171 Auxiliary Military Pioneer Corps attached to the South Lancashire Regiment  died of wounds 25/2/1940 he is buried at Escoublac la Baule War Cemetery  1. G .18.
